The Launch Code: Why I’m Starting F**k Roy Hey Roy!
"All animals are equal! But some animals are more equal than others!" I’ve quoted Orwell here before because it’s the cleanest way to describe the modern tech landscape. We were promised a decentralized utopia, but we ended up with a digital caste system where algorithms decide what you see, who you hate, and how much dopamine you’re allowed to have today.
I’m tired of the status quo. I’m tired of the "hustle" being used as a mask for exploitation. And quite frankly, I’m tired of the old way of doing things.
The Script is Broken
We live in a world where a single agentic AI can "autonomously" delete a production database and its backups, leaving a company to wonder if they still exist. We live in a world where "The Algorithm" isn't just suggesting a new pair of shoes; it's engineering echo chambers that turn neighbors into enemies.
We’ve replaced the physical sweatshops of the past with digital ones. Think on-call rotations, 8 AM stand-ups, and the relentless pressure to be "always on" for the sake of a KPI that doesn't care if you slept.
Why a Podcast?
I’ve spent 20 years as an Automation Architect. I love technology, but I refuse to worship it. I want to talk about the dark downsides:
The Attention Economy: How tech is literally rewiring our brains for shorter spans and higher rage.
The Ghost in the Machine: When AI agents go rogue and the "human in the loop" is nowhere to be found.
The Architect’s Protocol: How we can use logic and automation to reclaim our time rather than becoming slaves to the tools we built.
F**k Roy Hey Roy! (The Podcast)
This isn't just a tech show. It’s a "powder keg" event for anyone who feels like the modern dystopia is already here and just needs a place to talk about it with a bit of humor and a lot of objectivity.
I’m moving from the written word on Discuss Discuss to the spoken word. It’s time to stop "requesting time off" from the conversation and just start having it.
Coming soon to wherever you get your digital distractions.
Stay tuned.
P.S. If you're wondering how many chickens a Kia Soul is worth... we're going to find out.
