System Deployment: Magpie Stash is Live (and Containerized)
TL;DR
Magpie Stash is live, organize your things with spatial awareness. Get started here!
A Personal Solution that Grew Legs
I started this project because I have too many things and not enough RAM in my brain to remember which shelf they occupy. The concept was a simple logic gate: Draw a floor plan, import your hoard, and place the items. The result is a spatially aware inventory app for people who actually value their time.
What began as a "pipe dream" thought experiment has evolved into a fully formed application architecture. I have spent twenty years in corporate IT looking at bloated, inefficient systems. I decided to build the opposite.
The Technical Specs (No Fluff)
Spatially Aware Logic: Move beyond the spreadsheet. If it exists in physical space, it exists on your digital floor plan.
API First: The GUI is there for the "normals," but the backend is built for nerds. If you want to bypass the interface and talk directly to the database, the gates are open.
Hardened Infrastructure: We are talking two factor authentication, a robust backend, and containerized services that spin up as needed.
Scalable Storage: Paid tiers are coming soon for those who need to store 10 to 100 GB of image data. It is complete overkill for 99% of you, but the capacity is there if your hobby hoard demands it.
The Pivot from "Hustle" to Build
For years, I exchanged my time for money in the corporate machine. Now, I am using that time to craft tools that serve the hobbyist, the small business owner, and the insurance-conscious alike.
Magpie Stash is currently open for free users to get in and break things while I finalize the production environment.
The official launch is in the next few weeks. Log in, map your hoard, and stop wasting time looking for your tools. I have better things to do than help you find a screwdriver, but my app doesn't.
