Winter is here, but hibernating is over

Dear God, it's been forever since I touched HTML or CSS. They’re supposed to be simple, right? Like riding a bike?

Nah, they're not.

There are so many web technologies out here now. I'm staring at a Tailwind, Next.js, "whatever" stack right now, and the documentation is endless. I almost miss Ruby on Rails at this point.

I have this habit of needing to deep-dive into every single facet of a thing when I’m learning it. Needless to say, I've been reading the hell out of some documentation. RTFM, right?

This is a mini-rant, but mostly an update: I'm going to be rebuilding this site and my business site in parallel. Squarespace sites are lazy. Effective, sure, but lazy. I feel the need to roll my own, so we are on our way.

The next few posts are going to be dev logs. How exciting, right?
